What can we learn from how the Cheetah runs?
Check out the amazing slow motion video of a cheetah running. There is no blood, no killing, only the fastest running animal on earth displaying its incredible athletic gift.
We can not copy it. But we can learn from it. Observe the suppleness of the spine, the steadiness of the head and the focus of the eyes on the prey. It is incredible how stable is the trunk of the animal and how it goes unaffected by the powerfull movement of the limbs. Notice how smooth, controlled, rythmical and finally elegant is the whole movement. In coaching language we would say the cheetah did some serious core stabilization training and lots of work on running efficiency.
Do paddlers need any of it?
