Athens Canoe Club training on the Soča river

The Athens Canoe Club visited Training in Paradise river Soča for some slalom training with a strong team of 13 members. They used the Soča river and the Solkan wild water center to gain invaluable wild water experience for their young slalom team.

They found time to visit also the upper part of the Soča valley, do sight seeing around Kobarid and the Kozjak waterfall, go to the Soča Fan Park and also visit the Tacen World Cup slalom course. We believe it was a wonderful experience for the youngsters.

Ilias Makris, coach of Athens Canoe Club:

“The area offers many alternative ways of training  (e.g. kayaking, cycling, climbing, hiking) in short distances. It’s also a great holiday destination for individuals or families who wish to spend a relaxing time in an amazing landscape along with recreational activities. For our team it’s always a pleasure to visit Training in Paradise! We look forward to be there again next summer for our training camp!!!”
