You may say you have heard it a million times, but we believe it is important to stress how crucial goal setting is before each session.

In today’s document we show simple guidelines about where to start when setting up a session and how to define specific training goals. Athletes should have a clear picture of what they are trying to achieve on the session before they sit in the boat.

It may be learning a new skill, it may be endurance, it may be nailing a perfect start. The goal setting is important for many reasons but the most important is the fact that setting a goal for the session enables us to check if we have achieved it at the end.
