Radley College on lake Bohinj

Radley is an all boys college from UK that sent their rowing club (follow them on Twitter: @RCBC) to lake Bohinj for a week’s training camp during school holidays. The boys were training mostly in big crew boats which meant seeing 3 eights on the lake each session along with other 4- and 2-. A very special view, as it has been 2 years since the last 8 on lake Bohinj (NZL women eight training for Rio games).

The 36 athletes and 7 staff crew had an amazing time and great sessions judging by their many Twitter account (@RCBC) posts. They were supervised by 5 coaches and Radley College Master of rowing Sam Townsend (himself a double Olympian and World medalist in rowing). During the week they had the chance to visit lake Bled where they also performed an erg test in the Olympic Rowing center. Since they wanted to keep their days diverse, the team decided to climb up mount Komna, took the cable car to Vogel ski resort where they witnessed the breathtaking view on mount Vogel almost 2.000 meter high, had many bike sessions and of course went swimming in the lake. Since Radley College already booked their training camp for next year we believe our organisation of the camp was up to their expectations too!

Good luck boys! Make them long and keep them strong!

Next up is a Hungarian kayak club on lake Bled arriving in a few days.
