Andrea and Jernej speak at the largest canoeing coaches congress in the world
The two most prolific members of our team, Andrea Pace (biomechanics) and Jernej Župančič Regent (coaching) have just returned back from the VII International Congress of Coaches of Sprint Canoeing. The Congress in Catoira (Spain) is the largest congress for canoeing coaches in the world and our guys were invited to present among the main speakers.
It is a huge honor for us to know our staff member’s work and expertise is respected by leaders in this field and the invitation to hold a presentation among the very best world’s coaches is an important reference both for the guys and for the whole TiP team!
The now traditional congress was held over a span of 3 days in the northwestern part of Spain. Supported by the International Canoe Federation and the Royal Spanish canoe Federation and among the speakers there were: Alexander Nikonorov (coach of Olympic Champions like ED McKeever and Liam Heath), Miguel Garcia (coach of the Spanish male sprint team, coached 4 Olympic medals), Xavi Etxaniz Peña (national slalom Spanish team coach, coached 2 Olympic medallists), Saul Craviotto (2 time Olympic champion, sprint), Maialen Chourraut (Olympic champion, slalom) and many others.
