Our 2013 kayaking season wrap up
For us the 2013 season was our first full season after starting our project in 2012. After a lot of hard work preparing the necessary conditions for the guests the season was quickly here and before we could even notice it was over too. We had guests from as far as Finland, Israel or Greece joining us this year for paddle training in paradise. We believe they all got what they came looking for – great training conditions, relaxing and astonishing nature and a quality support.
In the past year our coaches also attended the ”4th International Congress of Coaches on Sprint Canoeing” in Catoria (Spain), lectured on the Coaching seminar for canoeing coaches in Kraljevica (Croatia) and an other one in Slovenia.
Our coaches also attended the World Cup event in Szeged, the Junior and U23 European championships in Poznan (Poland) and the Junior and U23 World Championships in Welland (Canada) as part of the Slovenian national team.
All these events gave our coaches an extraordinary possibility to learn and observe other nation’s coaches and athletes as well as studying current trends. We believe taking part in the biggest races, interact actively with top athletes and coaches from around the world while simultaneously trying to develop our own training approaches, actively seek new experiences and work on general long term coach education is the best way to stay on top of our business.
At the end of a great first season we are very proud of all the amazing positive feedback we are getting. We are now also present on the My sport camp web portal through were we do get global attention. In the future we will make our best to help preserve Training in Paradise biggest asset – the nature – as intact as it is today, further improve our infrastructure and logistics and keep our coaching stuff on top of their game!
